USES: Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) pain and swelling (inflammation). It is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backache, toothache, menstrual cramps, arthritis or sports injuries. This medication is used to reduce fever and relieve minor aches and pains due to colds or flu. It works by blocking the enzyme in the body that makes prostaglandins. The decrease of prostaglandins contributes to pain, inflammation and fever.
